Everyday Detox Tips
No matter how careful you are, you are likely exposed to toxins every day.  If you are not doing anything to actively remove them from your body, then they are mostly likely being stored.  Too many toxins in your body can negatively impact your health and cause inflammation.  They can also make it difficult to maintain a healthy weight.  Here are some everyday detox tips.

Past Exposures

It is important to help your body get rid of toxins that you were exposed to in the past.  Most everyone is aware of the dangers of being exposed to toxins now, but this wasn't true in the past.  As we became a more modern society, chemicals were used to make life easier.  Fields and weeds were sprayed with glyphosate, mercury was used in dental fillings, household and personal care products consisted of mostly chemicals, etc.  So the odds are you need to help your body get rid of stored toxins, and then move forward to minimize your exposure.

Healthy Gut

Toxins can block your body's ability to break down and absorb the needed nutrients from food.  In addition, they can damage the lining of your intestinal tract which can let food particles and toxins enter your blood stream.  All of this means you may have increased inflammation that can cause pain anywhere in your body.  This condition is often called leaky gut, disbiosis, or irritable bowel syndrome.  You will most likely need to work with a health practitioner to heal your gut.

Silica

Silica, or silicon dioxide, has been used in many European countries to treat food poisoning and gut infections.  It has been studied for it's ability to help remove aluminum from the body and support the maintenance and creation of healthy tissue in the digestive system.  While it is generally known for it's ability to remove aluminum from the body, it can also remove other heavy metals, bacteria, and waste.  There have been other studies that have looked at the benefit of silicon on the cardiovasuclar system, and hair, skin, and nails.

Activated Charcoal

You are probably aware that charcoal is used in medical settings for both humans, and animals, if they have been exposed to known toxins.  This is because it binds to toxins and allows your body to expel them through your intestinal tract.  Activated charcoal can also bind with with mold by-products and chemicals.  But it is not useful for removing heavy metals.  While it is great for binding with toxic chemicals, it can also bind to nutritional nutrients that your body needs.  So it is not good to take it for extended periods of time.

Zeolites

Zeolites are toxin binders that were created when volcanic lava, and ash, were combined with salt water thousands of years ago.  The resulting compound is porous and is comprised ot a honeycomb like structure that is negatively charged.  This combination of characteristics allows it to draw positively charged toxins to it which can be safely explelled from your body.  It is considered one of the best binders because it can also help restore your gut health.   There are other binders that are used in detoxification supplements as well.  It is best for you to work with a health practitioner that can help determine what is best for you.
